Nutrisystem customer care is awful and…

Nutrisystem customer care is awful and every call I have made has been met with a rude and unhelpful agent. I repeatedly tried to delay my order as my refrigerator can not handle another shipment of food. I tried to change the date on the site to no avail. I spoke with three reps who assured me the shipment would be delayed and lo and behold it’s on its way. The money is quickly taken and then there is no care or support. Yes the system works for weight loss and I’d love to share THAT story with everyone, but the customer care is atrocious and so frustrating I am cancelling. (Which also seems extremely difficult to accomplish)

Terrible customer service!

Food is ok and keeps the weight off but customer service is non existent and they do nothing to try and help. My delivery is way overdue and I called them and told them if I don’t get it today I will cancel. Rep did not care! Did not offer any help whatsoever! Also they do not provide a fedex tracking number so there is no way to contact fedex myself! Hey Marie. The company you represent takes my money and leaves me without my food!

OVERPRICED Diet Gimmick

I tried it for a month and was ALWAYS HUNGRY after eating their meals and you still need some items from the grocery store to follow their "plan". I learned to NOT skip a meal, eat smaller portions at mealtimes (NO seconds and cut out bread), snack on fruits (apple, banana) raw veggies (celery, carrot sticks) or small amount of mixed nuts. Drink plenty of water throughout the day! By doing my own "plan", I lost the weight I need to for hip replacement surgery

Bear Left

I lost ten pounds and got a free bear, ok I paid $7.99 shipping but so what. I’ve shoved more money than that up my nose. But once I got that first bear I was in it for the bears. I pushed hard and got to 20 lbs and halfway to 30 and they tell me they STOPPED MAKING BEARS! I wanted ten of them. They motivated me. I was in it for they bears.
Now I need to find a new weight loss program that has bears. Dammit.
Yes, I’m losing weight, and the tiny little hamburgers are awesome (with pickles, fat free American, and ketchup) and so are the egg sandos (with franks and a slice of fat free american), but...bears.

I would give this no stars if I could

I would give this no stars if I could. Read the fine print— it is difficult if not impossible to cancel, at the very least expensive. I should have known, the food is all processed with high sodium content. I do like to eat healthy, and healthy it is not! If you are used to eating food that is sweet or salty, this is the diet plan for you. I am sure it works for some, but I hope to take the theory of eating small quantities of food more often, but do it with fresh, healthy food. If you like processed food—go for it!

Just be well informed

My diabetes has become complicated over the past few months and the addition of insulin caused an 11lb weight gain. I don’t have enough self-discipline and have other health issues. Decided to try their diabetic plan for two months, I am at 8 days. I have lost almost 4 lbs, I find the food surprisingly good. It does contain a lot of sodium, but I only plan on two months. You are encouraged to eat veggies, fruits and your own meals. BEWARE however of exorbitant shipping and “packaging” charges on extra orders. Whenever cutting back on calories and other weight gaining foods, being hungry is expected. But I just want to lose about 15 lbs and will do the two months. My blood sugar has dramatically normalized! Another plus over a continual increase of insulin.

If I could give 0 stars I would...

Started Nutrisystem in December. Lost my job in January so called to cancel. The gentleman in customer service pushed my delivery back to February. I called today (Feb 13) to cancel. Get a terrible customer service rep, wish I wrote her name down. Rude, talks completely over you, and rushed me off the phone. They charge $125 to cancel your subscription. Even after telling her that I can’t afford that, that that’s the whole reason I need to cancel. She said she would waive the fee. Well, just got a notification from my bank of a $125 charge. I have ZERO respect for this company. The food is not good, it makes you sicker than a dog, and it’s extremely unaffordable. Hope this reaches someone before they make the same mistakes I did.

Nutrisystem is a hoax

Nutrisystem is a hoax. You are only losing weight because you are starving. The food is very poor quality and the quantity would never satisfy someone. They are charging a fortune. They also don't make it plainly clear that you can't cancel the autoship function without paying a penalty. They are a HORRIBLE company and designed to take advantage of desperate customers hoping to lose weight.

You will be sorry!

Wish I had not signed up for 2 very expensive months. The week before my food arrived, I lost 3.4 pounds on my own
After 1 week of mostly terrible nutrisystem food I lost 1.2 pounds. The only really good food was the salads and vegetables which you buy and prepare separately. Breakfast foods are overall the worst. I do think the snacks are relatively the best. Most of the frozen foods are pretty awful. I had a terrible frozen breakfast sandwich which was stale
The numi app is mostly advertising, trying to get you to spend even more on their food. Well i guess I just have to do the best I can with another 7 weeks of crap for food. You can very easily replicate this diet using Lean Cuisine, Smart Ones, etc. And trust me you will spend a lot less for much better food.

Moldy Food

My husband and I have purchased Nutrisystem for about 6 months and we stopped right before the holidays. All the food was stored correctly in the freezer and when we wanted to go back on it a few weeks ago we pulled out some snacks from the freezer and I was shocked that the snacks had mold on them. The ones that were not moldy were stale. I reached out to Nutrisystem and they said since my order was over 30 days ago they can’t do anything.
Really the foods best by date is not for months and you say since I bought it over 30 days ago you can’t help. That is crazy.
I will not be using Nutrisystem again!!!!

Frozen food delivered thaw

I recently ordered the one month program to give it a shot. The frozen portion of the delivery arrived mostly thawed out with no dry ice remaining in the cooler. The cooler container was room temperature on the inside and there was the smell of “old pizza” when I opened the container. I am hopeful that all items are safe to eat and I immediately moved them to my freezer. I am just irritated and concerned that this is how the items arrived. I understand that shipments may take an extra day or two because of high demand and everyone is ordering online these days. But Nutrisystem should come up with a way to ensure the frozen items they ship remain frozen during shipment as it could potentially be a food safety issue. When customers pay hundreds of dollars, we expect a high quality product. Not impressed with Nutrisystem’s delivery method and will not be a repeat customer in the future.

Ok so I get the auto delivery so you…

Ok so I get the auto delivery so you get consistent meals. They didn’t auto ship my order when they should have. They can’t expedite all they do is say I’m sorry. That doesn’t help when you are supposedly on a health plan. Horrible horrible service. Will look for the other company that can do a reliable service.
